Meet Osob
Your Ward 6 Candidate
A longtime Burlington resident running to help build the Ward 6 every neighbour wants to live in.

Osob Adus is a longtime Burlington resident, community leader, entrepreneur, and mother of four adult children who has spent years bringing people together through service, advocacy, and community-building across Burlington.
Recognized as Burlington's Citizen of the Year in 2017, Osob is known for her commitment to strengthening community connections, supporting local initiatives, and creating spaces where residents feel heard, valued, and connected. Her experience across corporate leadership, nonprofit service, entrepreneurship, and grassroots community work has shaped a practical, people-focused approach to leadership rooted in collaboration and respect.
Having raised her family in Burlington, Osob understands the importance of strong neighbourhood connections, accessible public spaces, thoughtful planning, and maintaining the character and sense of community that residents value throughout the city.
She believes effective leadership begins with listening, bringing residents into meaningful conversations about the future of their communities and ensuring local perspectives help guide important decisions affecting neighbourhoods, infrastructure, parks, and quality of life.
Osob is deeply committed to protecting Burlington's parks, trails, green spaces, and community gathering places that help neighbourhoods thrive and foster connection across generations. She believes growth should be thoughtful, balanced, and aligned with the long-term needs of residents while preserving the qualities that make Burlington a welcoming and vibrant city.
As a candidate for Ward 6, including the communities of Alton Village, Millcroft, Headon Forest, and the rural north of the ward, Osob is focused on strengthening the connection between residents and City Hall while helping build a Burlington that remains connected, community-centered, and prepared thoughtfully for the future.
